How does the free trial work?
Every app works fully for 7 days. After that, a one-time purchase of $4.99 unlocks it for good, including future updates. There is no subscription.
I bought an app. How do I restore my purchase?
Purchases belong to your Apple or Microsoft account. Sign in with the same account in the Mac App Store or Microsoft Store and download the app again; it unlocks automatically. On a Mac, you can also choose Restore Purchase in the app.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your computer, and the apps work without an internet connection. See our privacy policy.
Will the apps change my original files?
- NameThatFile changes only the file name. Files stay in their folder with their extension and contents unchanged, and Undo This Batch or Batch History restores the original names.
- Image Resizer and Image Optimizer never change originals. They save new copies in a Resized or Optimized folder beside them.
Why did NameThatFile skip a file?
Click Details… in the app to see why. Common reasons are unsupported file types, hidden files, files open in another app, or cloud files that are only online. For OneDrive files on Windows, right-click the file and choose Always keep on this device first.
What do I need?
- Mac: macOS 13 Ventura or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
- Windows: Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) or Windows 11, on Intel, AMD or Arm.
